How to connect to Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Connecting to Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility VPN Client

Insert your Smart Card into the card reader and start Windows.

When the Windows login screen appears, click the Network Logon icon in the lower right corner of the screen to launch the AnyConnect VPN client.

Process

  1. Insert your Smart Card into the card reader and start Windows
  2. When the Windows login screen appears, click the Network Logon icon in the lower right corner of the screen to launch the AnyConnect VPN client. (insert image here)diamond
  3. When the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client appears, click the dropdown menu and select NIHVPN.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Once the server is contacted, enter your PIV Card PIN when prompted and press Enter (insert image below)
  6. Accept the Government Warning. (insert image here)
  7. Wait while the VPN connection is established.. (insert image here)
  8. When you have successfully connected to VPN, the Windows logon screen is displayed. A Disconnect button is displayed n the lower right corner, indicating that you are not connected to VPN. (insert images here)
  9. Click the icon associated with your login, enter your Smart Card PIN and click the arrow to log into your Windows machine. (insert image here)
