What does "I" indicate in grading policy?

“I” indicates that the required coursework has not been completed. Incompletes are for extenuating circumstances only (see Extenuating Circumstances below) and require approval from the dean of academic programs before assigning any “I” grades. Incompletes must be resolved by the end of the following term. If left unresolved, a grade of “I” will convert to “F” at the end of the following term.
